(2) 1.Johnsons – They played a close game until the halfway point and then they just opened up against the Warriors. Taking advantage of a Juice depleted outfield was a start, but they just overwhelmed the Warriors who had been feasting on weak teams all season.
(1) 2.Teddy Roosevelts – As expected, not a single Bushwhacker was to be found during the entirety of Sunday.
(5) 3. Fuzz – They played a very tight, high scoring game against the Sexy Back, but were able to come away as winners. Their usually stout defense gave up several critical errors to keep Sexy Back in the game, but their offense proved too much as they finally overwhelmed the Sexy Back.
(4) 4.Sausage – There were more pie-holes at the field than are on some teams rosters. They could have played a full 9 vs 9 game against themselves. Instead they drank and rocked out to Katie B's box.
(7) 5.Furies – After their devastating shutout to the Pirates last week, they retooled and came out in a Fury this sunday. The ever loveable Tonics were their unfortunate victims as they keep themselves in contention. The next two weeks will show who this team really is.
(8) 6.McKickers – After a two game losing streak, the Maulers finally got back on track with a 1st inning beat down of the Scallywags that they never came close to recovering from. The Maulers took the rest of the game off and took one step closer to securing a playoff berth.
(3) 7.Red Army - They lost Juice to a midfield collision and then they just lost their mojo. They were never able to recover after Juice left the game and got exceptionally sloppy, exceptionally quick. It was a tight game until the 4th, but then dropped balls, mishandled base throws doomed the Warriors to the receiving end of a double digit score.
(6) 8.69ers- The complete lack of offense finally caught up to the 69ers in the worst way. They were able to hang on for a tie against the typically awful Beat-alls, but it was just not their day. Their lucky escape is enough to clinch a playoff spot, but they need some serious help to avoid being 1 and done.
(9) 9. Dread Pirates - They keep their improbable playoff dreams alive with a beat down of the Shockers while dressed in drag. They once again played like a team and were able to soundly outplay the Shockers in every facet of the game.
(10) 10. Juice Factory – With nothing to lose, they played an Edward 40 hands game against the Hangovers. Unfortunately for the Hangovers, they kicked first and ran up the score before the 40s could come off. It was a fun light hearted game all around. Although, Juice Factory needs to keep paying attention, because they are still not mathmatically eliminated from playoff contention yet.
(11) 11. Team IV - They needed a win to keep their playoff dreams alive and they almost got it. But the Fuzz was just too clutch to allow sexy back to steal a victory. They still have the smallest flickering hope....but it requires the most unlikely of scenarios of Beat-alls beating the Maulers.
(14) 12. Master Racers - This team continues to improve. Their offense struck a wall against the Defenders but their defense held fast. The 1 run the scored was enough to send the brownshirts dancing across the field in their second victory.
(15) 13. Beat-alls - If they had played as tough as they did Sunday all season long, they would be in playoff contention right now. They were exceptionally stout on defense, ending the threat at the bottom of the 7th with a play at the plate. They looked damn tough for a 1 win team.
(13) 14. Tonics - They have been practicing uptown, but they were still no match for the Furies. They were simply overwhelmed by the offensive power that was so absent last week.
(12) 15. Scallywags – They barely fielding a team, but they came to play. They never found cohesion today and were soundly beaten by a very angry Maulers' team.
(16) 16. Ruebots - They continue to race towards their return trip to the toilet bowl, attempting to renew their claims of infamy that have been lost in the past few good seasons.
(17) 17.Duckfarts - Their measured paced drinking doomed them as the Juice Factory guzzled their beers and got their hands free, leaving the Hangovers at a disadvantage. Although, some spectacular 1 handed plays made the day highly entertaining.
(18) 18. Rock & Bowl - They have been having consistently stellar play by a few members of their team, but just can't seem to tie it all together. They are good people and still seem to be having fun out here.
